The TRASH Times and Other Stuff

Andy Saunders has more on the TRASH Great Lakes Regional from Brock University...

Congratulations to World’s Smallest Cutest Yak (University of Pittsburgh), who defeated a field of 19 teams at Brock University to win the 2006 Great Lakes TRASH Regional title, going a perfect 12-0 in the process (5-0 in the final playoff bracket). Second place went to Star Whores: Attack of The Clap, who went 9-3 (3-2), while 3rd place was “They Are My Breasts (7-3-1, 3-2). As with TRASHionals, only games against teams in the top playoff bracket were counted towards the final placing of top teams in Playoff Bracket A.

The tournament’s top scorer was “Diamond Joe Quimby” from World’s Smallest, Cutest Yak, who took home a “Brock Football: Undefeated since 1964” t-shirt, followed by Rochester Athletic Club’s George Flevares and Toronto’s Eric Smith. The prize for most negs in the original round-robin went to “Rock Out With UR Cock Out” of Rochester B, with 9 in the first 9 games.

At this point, I would like to thank all 19 teams that came out today to participate, as well as our moderators and staffpeople: Rebecca Golden, Erin Korber, Dwight Kidder, Elizabeth Hobbs, Lauren Peters, Dana Hendrix, David Johnson, Neil Wolford, Stuart Bell, Wilson Lau, Matt Besant, Sheryl Huff, Elyse Graf, Nathan Infantino, Jo Ann Zhou, Britt Traynor, Alex Kviatkovski, Liz Stenson, Fatima Namatovu, and Nurhan Shire (I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone, and if I did, I sincerely apologize.)

I’d also like to thank TRASH for putting together an excellent packet set and remind all particpants not to discuss any questions from the event on any forum until TRASH has given the all-clear.
